Details

The event, Margaret Tullos Field Symposium, will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, in Jobe Auditorium on the Delta State University campus. The Margaret Tullos Field symposium is named in honor of Professor Emeritus Margaret Tullos, who served our social work department for over twenty-five years as the Director of Field Education. Each year, we honor her work by hosting the symposium, which is composed of prominent, experienced lecturers from across the country to give valuable information to practicing social workers and field instructors who have dedicated their lives to improving the lives of others.

Our 2023 Margaret Tullos Field Symposium theme is “A Holistic Framework for Cultivating Practitioner Resilience.” This theme is significant as we hope to bring awareness to the critical practice of self-care, highlight the need for understanding and preventing the effects of professional burnout, and offer updated information on various subject matters related to professional resilience. So please come out and join us for this event; you will not regret it!
